A study of the Yoga Sutra II 46-51
The breath is considered central to Yoga, but it is difficult to “grasp”.
Studying what the Yoga Sutra has to say on asana and pranayama and examining the sutras closely will make clear as to how we can keep the breath central to our practice and take advantage of this very powerful tool. The benefits are seen and realized almost immediately.
This understanding has been foundational to the yoga therapy that T.K.V. Desikachar became renowned for. It, in fact, leads us to the very goal of Yoga.
This workshop will comprise the chanting and study of the relevant sutras, and the practice of asana and pranayama.
Ravi & Sheela Shankar both studied under T.K.V. Desikachar and have decades of experience teaching and leading retreats worldwide. You can find out more about both of them here.
This will be a two-day in person workshop over the weekend of June 7 & 8.
Investment: $190
Space is limited.
